Photo of the Week
February 6, 2005

I am going to deviate from the William Harnden Foster photo series and post some really great photos of our old friend the S.S. Cristobal.   These photos were sent in by CZ Images contributor Dick Brown.  The photos were taken by his father Russell R. Brown on returning to Panama in 1939.  Prior to his return to Panma, Russell R. Brown was a Rigger and Plant Superintendent on the Madden Dam project from 1931 - 1934 with Calahan Construction.  Russell married in 1933 and Dick was born in Gorgas Hospital in 1934.  Dick mentioned that his Grandfather, Bern Headrick, was Aggregate Forman with the Calahan Construction as well.  When the family returned to Panama Russell worked on the Lock Gate Bomb Proofing project (S.I.P. 5) as Assistant General Forman.
Dick has more photos that he plans to send.  I will be posting them as they come in.  Thanks for sharing your old photos with all of us Dick.

I bet these grand old photos will bring back some wonderful memories!!
