Photo of the Week

With Christmas nearly here, I wanted to post something of Christmas in the Canal Zone. The Canal Zone schools and organizations always went all the way when it came to celebrating Christmas. I love this photo of, what they titled, Balboa High School Christmas Sing, in 1954. Look at all the people!! This was a big show for all. When our daughter was attending the Balboa Elementary School, the had similar Sings, if you will and we loved attending the shows. They held them on the front steps and also within the court yard of the school. Click here to see. Such memories of Christmas in the Canal Zone has me tearing up. What a wonderful life.
