Photo of the Week

Today, we have cell towers to allow communications. The photo above is what it was like in 1944. These two small buildings were located on Sosa Hill in Balboa, Canal Zone that supported the Canal Zone Police's communiction via Radio Telephone service. It appears that one of the buildings had a generator as you can see the exhaust pipe on the one wall. Primitive, but worked. I remember seeing structures on top of the hill, so here is was. Note the buildings from Quarry Hts. and Balboa in the distance
