This is an interesting photo of the future site for the Dredging Division and the town site of Gamboa.  This flat area which is being filled with gravel and dirt, actually had the Chagres River flow though it prior to the Canal construction.   There is still a small water body visible shaped like a white V.  There are two old French dredges moored along the bank.
