My  dad "Ike" under the 0 in 404 with white cap. This was take late 1941 or 42 at Balboa yards. This was the Yard Master and his crew. Think there were crews, engineers, conductors and yard master. I was the gofer, (office helper), at $60.00 per month! 

This locomotive appears to be some kind of yard switch engine.
