This is a wonderful site and the musuem would be a marvelous addition. I appreciate the fact that you care so much about a place that my Grandparents worked so hard to better.

I never really knew much about The Canal Zone or anything like that. I found this site while doing a search on The Ancon Canal Zone, Panama for my friend. His name is Walter Monroe and he is in search of his family history. He was born on 7/11/45 and was adopted in late '51 or '51 in Ancon Canal Zone. I am hoping that by posting in different places that someone might see it that would know something about his family history. If you, or anyone else reading this knows of any information that might help us in this search please email me at yviebear@hotmail.com It would be greatly appreciated. Thanks ~ Yvette
Thanks for the trip down memory lane. I love surfing this website. I plan on going to Panama over the Xmas holidays. I hear that there are many changes. I would love to hear from anyone from the former Panama Canal Zone.
And yet another website for The Zone and Panama. How wonderful. Lived at Rousseau, l955, then to Albrook AFB (the flats) l956-l958. Again at Albrook l960-l963. My parents were AF and left for Dover AFB, DE in l964. My youngest brother, David, was born at Gorgas Hospital. What a wonderful place. Am hoping to return May l999. Graduated with the class of l962, Balboa High School.
Nice job on developing and updating your site Bill.
Hola! Seeing or reading anything about my birthplace and home for 27 years certainly brings back many great memories. Jimmy Carter is still on everyone's most unappreciated ex-presidents list after he went along with the big gift to Panama. The question really is: Can they handle it? They just are not known for maintaining usability of any property. Perhaps the world's longest swimming pool is still in the future. We will see. Next year at the PC Reunion in Orlando there may be an undertone of dismay as that big deadline approaches.
This is an excellent site. It brings back so many memories of a great life in the Canal Zone. By any chance do you have any pictures from the motorcycle races we use to have back in the late 60's. Some were motorcross, and others were at France Field. Just keep up the good work! Thanks a million!!
Keep up the great work!
I like your web page.
Boy what a joy. Going down memory lane. My Dad was civil service with the Navy at Rodman and we lived in Cocoli then Rodman. Married an AF guy and lived at Howard AFB till we came back to the states in 75. I graduated from BHS in 64. Everyonce in awhile I see names I recognize. Really enjoy all the sites I have found about Panama. Keep up the good work all of you.
