June 1998 Museum Guests
Here we are....It's June and Hurricane Season has official begun here on the Sand Bar. YIKKES!!! Let's hope that we are blessed with no storms this year. Hope to see a bunch of you at the reunion. A good meeting place is the Pagoda Bar near the main lobby. BHS Class of 70 will be meeting there at 3:00 on Friday. Drop on by and visit. See ya there.
WOW!!!! This is absolutely incredible! I'm a little after your time but I still have the fondest of memories of my "homeland." I, too, was born in Gorgas Hospital. I spent 20 years in Panama (class of '88) before I shipped-off to FSU. My dad will retire in October and I won't have many ties left. It's a sad story but we all know who to blame! The only piece of sanity I have to hold on to is that I am living in Hawaii and aside from the industrialization, it's sooooooo much like our beloved Panama. Mango and Bougainvilla Trees on every corner. It's so beautiful! The mountains and the beaches are also in the same location....just like home. Sorry, not windshield-wiper guys in the middle of the intersection. Ha ha!
