From 1945 thru 1948 I was stationed at Albrook Field, Howard Field and France Field.
Wonderful site. My father Curtis H. Frazier worked as a Police Officer and on the Canal. I was born in PCZ in 1956. Will be showing this site to my Dad, he will be so excited to see photos. Thanks!
This site is fantastic. My grandmother died December 2001. she lived and borned in Gorgona before the construction and inundation of Gatún lake. She saw the picture of Gamboa railroad station and identified the same Thanks for the web and remenber this friend country.
Thank you for your gift to all of the "Zonians." I look forward to having some time to really search this site and enjoy. Butch
I worked for the FAA at Albrook and lived in FAA housing in Cardenas Village from 4/71-11/73. I spent my off-duty time riding motorcycles in the jungle, racing my catamaran, and photographing my new & exciting Central American world. I retired from the FAA in 1995 and after selling our home and all the furniture, my wife & I have been full-time RV'ers, touring the USA, Mexico, & Canada in our Motor home. We are currently in Florida where we plan to build a home and settle down - at least for awhile. Your site and its photos brought back many memories. When I get my "stuff" out of storage perhaps I can contribute some photographs. Best Regards!
