Loved your site, just came back from Panama for the first time, it is a wonderful place so beautiful a well kept secret. I never knew. Thank you for sharing.
Great site! I was born in Gorgas. I'm looking for anyone who may have know, or possibly has stayed in touch with a Sharylnn Joan Dolan. In 1961 she was 20 years old and worked as a secretary - probably at one of the bases since she was from California. If anyone has information regarding this person please email me! THANK YOU!
Hi I was stationed in Panama in 1957 until 1959 at Ft. Amador. I was in the Machine Records Unit.Had a great time The unit is going to have their Reunion in San Antonio,Tx. in Sept.this year (2004)from SEPT16TH UNTIL SEPT19TH.This our third reunion thought up by Don Liebner, and he gets a lot of help from Robert Dahlstorm who taught from twenty years in the Canal Zone. really like your page
What an interesting site. I was born and raised in the CZ and left for college in 1956, I am still in touch with people that I went to Balboa High School with and would love to hear from people that knew me back then. I spend many hours looking at pictures on this site and it brings back many very fond memories.
If possible would like to I.D. some old bottles I have. Seem to be made of white clay and glazed, some have brown tops, heard different things such as they were milk, they were beer, they were U.S., they were French, will take photos if necessary to I.D. them. Love your w.s. I'm good friends w/ Winkie. thanks for your time, Doug

Hi: I grew up in the Canal Zone during the years of 1977 through 1991. I was here during the period of the Macaullif Manfredo Administration. I am currently working as an Engineering Technician in the Canal and if you need any recent images and info, it would be a pleasure to provide you with them
I was browsing your site and thought think it is great. Both of my parents attended Balboa and I used to love hearing them tell stories of their lives in the canal zone. My mother was born there and my father grew up there. My grandfather "Buck" Lockridge was athletic director for the Zone and my grandfather Ralph Huls Sr. worked for the Diplomatic Corp. my parents Ralph and Beth Huls (Nee Lockridge) are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary August 20th of 2005 so I'm trying to dig up old classmates to share stories with
Thanks for keeping this up! It is a pleasure to visit the site.
