Great site! I was born in Gorgas. I'm looking for anyone who may have know, or possibly has stayed in touch with a Sharylnn Joan Dolan. In 1961 she was 20 years old and worked as a secretary - probably at one of the bases since she was from California. If anyone has information regarding this person please email me! THANK YOU!

What an interesting site. I was born and raised in the CZ and left for college in 1956, I am still in touch with people that I went to Balboa High School with and would love to hear from people that knew me back then. I spend many hours looking at pictures on this site and it brings back many very fond memories.

Liked your page very much. Have been trying to find any thing i can about Fort Clayton because my father was station there in 1927 till 1930.He was in the 33inf div band. When he first went there he was in Co A 33 Inf then it looks like he was Hqs Co 51st Field Art. Hope some one can tell me more about Fort Clayton for the years 1927 1930.Bob Van Duzer

Hi: I grew up in the Canal Zone during the years of 1977 through 1991. I was here during the period of the Macaullif Manfredo Administration. I am currently working as an Engineering Technician in the Canal and if you need any recent images and info, it would be a pleasure to provide you with them

I was browsing your site and thought think it is great. Both of my parents attended Balboa and I used to love hearing them tell stories of their lives in the canal zone. My mother was born there and my father grew up there. My grandfather "Buck" Lockridge was athletic director for the Zone and my grandfather Ralph Huls Sr. worked for the Diplomatic Corp. my parents Ralph and Beth Huls (Nee Lockridge) are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary August 20th of 2005 so I'm trying to dig up old classmates to share stories with
