Here is a proud mama with a smiling baby.  Note the cement blocks that hold up the house.   Through the years searching the old construction town sites, I have found many of these old foundation blocks.  In some areas like the back island of Gorgona, you can clearly see where the row of houses stood.  I used to use the foundation blocks to locate bottle dumps.  Everyone had to get rid of their garbage, so they would dig a pit behind or to the side of the house.  This method of search usually worked pretty good.
