I think this is great. I never graduated from BHS but lived in Panama for 7 years. Went to Balboa Elementary, anybody remember Mrs. Turbyville, Diablo and Curundu and finally two years at BHS but left in 10th grade lots of those names were familiar.

It's always good to check in and see how everyone's doing. Happy New Year to one and all.

Yep I remember Mrs. Turbyville in Balboa Elementary School...I personally never had her...she had like the "smart" kids in her class. She was a nice person I do remember that....my little sister Pam had her for a teacher...Pam was a smartie pants in school! I have fond memories of the heat in Diablo Jr. High School (the wooden building), and sitting in the classroom under Jaime Tomato's (Jimmy Bell) and watch the fans sway back and forth when Jim would shake his legs...LOL. Or the time Johnny Argerenen and Ray Mann? tossed Sandy Chesson out the window (Mr. De Armas's class on the top floor). Of course, I can't forget Mr. Garrett, the southern drawl Spanish teacher that used puppets to teach Spanish. Man that was weird now that I think about it!

Jac, loved your "fond" memories of Balboa Elementary! Those of us in Central Florida are still suffering the shock of 27 degree temperatures - I had to wear gloves & socks to work Friday!! I can now feel the pain of my dear classmates such as Paul in Pa or Mike in Cleveland where 27 probably feels like a tropical heat wave to those guys! I just may have to move south......speaking of south we are contemplating something different for our 35th class reunion-a 3 or 4 day cruise to the Bahamas on a Royal Caribbean but only if the guys promise not to throw Sandy Chesson out a window! (ref Jac's email) Cost would vary according to accommodations or who you would be willing to sleep with, I mean bunk with........anyway we are in no rush but I will probably start looking into it shortly.............if you have a comment let me know. Please remember to keep our classmates who are in the middle east in your prayers.
