Would have been in class of '57 if I hadn't been hauled back to the States by my parents in '54. Visited the Zone and R de P in 2000--it's still wonderful.

I think your page is great! I wish there were something for the class of '72! That's when I graduated.

Thought I would send a reminder to everyone that our 50th birthday party is coming up. Bill has the details at the start of the page. Please try to attend this "historical event"! In addition, BHS 70 has lots to celebrate at this upcoming reunion! Jacque Crowell is the new editor of the Panama Canal Society Record and our very own Bill McLaughlin will be installed as the new President of the Panama Canal Society. Yeah Bill & Jacque!! We had a very nice holiday and I could not help to think of our cold amigos elsewhere as we enjoyed another warm Christmas. Ed & I enjoyed a wonderful trip to Amelia Island and Christmas Eve & Christmas Day with Zonie friends Laurie (McBride)& Dave Hazelip & Joe & Sue Eytalis. We had quite a New Year's Eve fiesta at Pam Crowell's house in Ormond Beach where Debbie Beall (BHS 71?) demonstrated the edible parts of a hibiscus. Us Zonies really know how to have a good time!! As the New Year starts I cannot help to reflect on all my Blessings from God, the most important being Ed & all my dear friends. Please have a safe & wonderful 2002 & make plans to join us in July!

I think this guest book is great. I'm still trying to catch up on everything now that I know this site exists. I lived at Kobbe from 1967-70 and I still consider myself a Zonian. When I found CZ Brats a coupla weeks ago, it blew my mind. It really put a smile on my face to see some of you in the reunion pictures. Let me TCB by saying to Mrs. Lommen's son, who signed the guestbook earlier, that I was in your mothers' homeroom and senior Lit class in '70. She was a great lady. It was because of her I became an English major at Kent State.Second, I want to say hi to a few folk, like Bill Walker, who used to give me rides to school. And Scott Collister, who served with me on color guard our junior year. Steve Cartotto, I played your Strat at your house during your Uncle Trip days. Does Norris still have the yellow jeep with the snorkel? Party at the Breakers Club man! I really miss buying some fruit wrapped in banana paper. And empanadas with ketchup . Swimming at the French Cut. Going up the jumps at Miraflores. Spear fishing at Perlas. Chuleta, man. I miss it a lot .I'm glad to know the Class of '70 is out there looking good. Hope to hear from anyone who remembers this Kobbe Kid.

Hello everyone! Lots has happened in the last year and I have moved to Wisconsin. Married an old friend from 29 years ago. We live in Janesville, WI. If anyone is near us let me know, or if any of you pass this way, please stop by to visit! Bill, as usual, you have done "magic" with this web site and I think you should give yourself a raise! Ha! But seriously, where would we be without you? You are great! My best to Margaret! Take care and Happy New Year to everyone! Audrey
