This is a great site that I hope keeps going! I don't visit very often and I'm sure no one remembers me as I did not socialize much and was fairly quiet in high school, but I remember many of those whose names I see on this site. All of you in the warmer climes can be thankful they do not live in the frigid northeast, it is below zero at present. I never thought when growing up in the tropics, that I would be stoking a woodstove to keep warm!! Thanks to Bill for this whole wonderful site! Joanne

A quick note to say hi to all and to wish everyone a safe and happy holidays. I'm always uplifted when I'm able to steal a few minutes and visit our website. Wish I could do it more often. Always great to catch the latest news on our classmates. I do hope our home page will remain active -- didn't see the "final answer" following some of the message traffic back in Oct. Anyway, hope everyone is having a fantastic holiday season....I just wish we'd have some heavy snow down here in Bama! Take care and, more importantly, stay in touch. All the best....John

I'm looking for a lady by the name of Barbara Elaine Treadwell. I've noticed in the class of '70 there was a Barbara E. Treadwell. Would anyone have any information regarding this person so I can confirm if this is the same lady that I'm looking for? Please e-mail me for further information. Thank you! Great page! I wish my old high school had one!

Dear Classmates:

I recently learned that Jacque Hunt Arias has had a relapse and underwent surgery right before Xmas. I know we are all busy, but I am sure it would lift her spirits to hear from her former classmates. Please take a minute to drop her a line. Her email is: donovan@cybertron.com, her address: 2201 Provincial St., Dothan, Alabama 36303-1634.

Last night we traveled to Daytona to watch my "sister" Jacque Crowell graduated from Kaiser college with a degree in computer networking. I am so proud of her accomplishments, first because it took me 3 years to turn this evil machine on (Bill Gates IS the anti-christ!) but most importantly because she has done it while working all day & raising 2 kids by herself. She was also chosen to give the class speech and did a fantastic job ! (It left us all in tears) She has my admiration, my greatest respect and all my "sisterly" love. YEAH JAACQUE!!!!!

I just wanted to remind all the classmates that live in Florida that we have Carnavalito coming up in February in Winter Haven...time is running short to send in your reservation! Check the older messages from Vicki to read more about it or go the the Society page. See you all there!

For those of you who don't already know this, I go ape-shit at Christmas time, hosting a party here, now in its' 16th year. You'd have liked the spread (I cooked ALL of it): Deviled Eggs topped w/Crab Meat; Prawns with Cocktail Sauce; Bacon-wrapped Breadsticks; Giant Cashews; Garlic-Peppered boneless chicken breasts (choice of two sauces: Cranberry/Mango Salsa or Lemon/Pesto); Saffron Rice or Garlic Mashed Potatoes; Vegetables w/ Hollandaise Sauce; Broiled Tomatoes; Three Milks Cake; Flan; and Meringues w/Chocolate and Butterscotched Strawberries w/Brandy flames. So, next time, if you're in the neighborhood...

And congrats to Vicki & Ed and to Jacque....they know why.

W-aaa-y long overdue, but Happy New Year to all you BHSers and hope 2001 finds you healthy and prosperous. Jacque - congrats, I truly admire your accomplishment at this stage in life - don't think I could do it over again at this age. Vicki - a bash in DC sounds like a great idea. Let me know how I might help.

Jacque was right, Carnavalito was a blast. First one I've been too & plan on making it again next year. Was great spending time with several class of 70 folks. Mike Perry came down from Ohio and Faye Weiser came down from North Florida. Bill's daughter took a group photo of us, so hopefully we'll see it soon. Try to make it next year. Don't forget to start making your plans for the 2001 PCS reunion in Orlando in August.

CARNAVALITO WAS WELL WORTH THE TRIP TO FL. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND ATTENDING NEXT YEAR. IT REALLY BREAKS UP THE WINTER FOR THOSE OF US IN THE NORTHERN AREAS. HATS OFF TO ED WARDLOW AND HIS WORK ON MAKING THINGS A SUCCESS.( VICKI MADE SANCOCHO FRI. NIGHT...THANKS.) IT WAS GREAT TO SEE FOLKS HAVING SUCH A GOOD TIME DANCING TO TITO! I CAN'T RECALL ANYONE WHO DID NOT THOROUGHLY ENJOY THEMSELVES. KEEP IN TOUCH...EVERYONE.
