AMIGOS as I have said before, this is an awesome site, GRACIAS Bill for keeping it alive & to all who help him. Good to see wonderful friends connecting here, some I now Email directly, great! Am still singing & now remarried to my Mich. college beau. We just bought a Condo in Marbella, Panama City; plan spending part of the year there-it is beautiful as Vickie says!

My husband loves the fishing there! Sad to hear about Ed Filo is there an address we can send a card to his family? Also, can you all help me find our classmate MELVA OSBORNE? What a great CLASS we still are. Love to hear from everyone; still home for medical reasons so will miss the mini Reunion-Dinner in Panama, BIG HUG TO ALL YOU BULLDOGS! Marty

Great site. I would have been class of 70. I am throwing down the gauntlet to Vicki S., she said she had some pictures of the last reunion and was going to post them when she had a free moment...realizing that she lives in paradise and that there are no free moments there, the delay is understandable. Anyone with pictures, post them. Again, great site.

Friends,

I thought I would mention that I attended the memorial service for Steve Goodman last Saturday along with a handful of folks from the Panama and the local area. Fred Tienken gave a very comforting eulogy. Needless to say...those of us who knew Steve will miss him.

So sad to hear about our classmates dying at such a young age (yes, we are still young!). We all need to remember to live for the moment and enjoy each day we have with our family and friends. As our youngest daughter graduates from high school this year I am reminiscing about our high school years at BHS. What wonderful memories!

The restaurant and Bar at Rio Mar has been sold and will be torn down the week of April 16th. To celebrate the memories of this spirtitual place (what other place could have created such fables as the "Coca cola cat that made the surf flat... ) we will be gathering at noon on Saturday April 14th at the Restaurant at Rio Mar for a cold Panama to say farewell to this fine establishment.

All are invited, bring your friends.

Vicki

I graduated from BHS (68) & CZC (70). I was active in Drama (Dave Loman) & sports. You may remember me as "John Cowan" - my stepfather's last name. I have to admit that it was hard to see most of the web pages - due to crying over the many happy memories & the loss of so many classmates! I can't tell you how much this means to me. I'm joining!!!

I was so saddened to read about the loss of three of my fellow high school graduates -- Steve Goodman, Lyn Biagi and Ed Filo. I knew them each well during my years at BHS. This news is a reminder of how important life is and how appreciative we must be each and every day no matter the obstacles.......my thoughts and prayers go out to their families and friends. The real reason I was "checking in" was to ask that my work email on the Alumni page be removed and replaced with my personal email listed above.........much appreciated.

I've often thought of my Sr year in Panama & how much I would dearly love to return to relive those days. So many memories. I did not know about this website until today. Sad to see so many have passed. I am very well & would love to hear from you all whenever possible. When is the next meeting? Because I will be there. I found Maradee Scarborough Stroupe in Clarksville, AR Her dad was a doctor at Gorgas Hosp and she was my maid of honor. I have not heard from her in over 30 yrs She lived in North Augusta, GA then while I was living in Columbia, SC Now I live and work near Birmingham, AL with my 2nd husband of 20 yrs, Frank, son, Skip and 3 dogs, Ruby, Abby, & Penny. I have been in the Property & Casualty Ins business for 27 yrs. Time flies, huh? Wish I could say fun, BUT honestly, it has been good to me over the years. In June, we moved into our new home located near American Village in Montevallo. It doesn't feel like home yet. Still in shock from the moving trau!

ma. Bill, I love the web site and you've done it proud. What an accomplishment! A true labor of love. It's perfect, but would like to see more photos. I may have the "Last Will" intact if you need a good copy. I'll look while I'm unboxing the "stuff". Bill, you may remember me from Home Room. I had the heavy southern accent everyone liked to tease me about. Hey, I see where lots of yall moved to FL and GA. Wonder what you sound like now? HA!!! Have a good night all and take good care until I am able to see you again. I am such a happy girl to have found you today. I really am so happy. This has made my day!!!

Much love, and Hugs from the Heart, Pam

I think it's wonderful! I just can't believe it. I found the website one night and boy did it bring back the best memories! My dad was a Col. at Albrook. What a beautifuol base. We lived on post. Those were the best times!! We didn't know it then, but my education would take me to some of the biggest companies in the World (AT&T,IBM and Bell Labs). The schools today just don't have what BHS has! I see the difference in my kids and my grandkids. I miss those days. I keep trying to remember my shorthand teacher's name!! If you remember, let me know. Also, our music teacher and a girl named Tilly. Sang like a bird and sang for my wedding! What can I say, I'm getting old!
